In the discussion we had tonight about the roofing. I believe that we came up with a brilliant way of getting the information and terms across to the students before testing. To do the theory and calcs lessons first makes sense. However in the past I tested straight away. This I believe after our talk was bad. I now believe using the practical task of building the roof after the theory and calcs have taken place will reinforce their learning and cement the information.

ReplyDeleteStill waiting for the new classes to use this method to teach roofing as it is still a little bit down the road till it is to begin.
ReplyDeleteHowever I still believe if it can be timed right it will be very effecxtive.
I have been using a few of the skills I have learnt during our classes in my own. The class management is what I am finding usefull the most.
